What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is based on the philosophy that the body has the full capacity to heal itself when given what is needs; clean air, pure water, sunlight, proper nutrition, exercise and rest. The view is holistic and does not separate the body into all its individual pieces, but sees them as one cohesive team. The emphasis is on establishing the body’s own state of balance and wellness, so that it is capable of eliminating dis-ease itself. Naturopaths see symptoms as signals of imbalances within the body. They work to identify the cause and recommend a course towards full recovery. Focusing on symptoms alone suppresses the true nature of the situation which may turn into a more severe chronic issue later.

Traditional Naturopath (Dr. Su) VS. Medical Physician

An "MD" (Medical Doctor) uses techniques and practices such as chemicals, drugs, surgery and other therapies designed to address the codified symptomology of disease.

An "ND" (Doctor of Naturopathy) is a professional that has earned a degree in alternative and complimentary methods that do not involve drugs, surgery, or any invasive methods.  They are simply teachers of natural health and wellness practices!
